Whatever Stiles had built up in his head when he heard the words "gay bar", he wasn't sure that Jungle was it. Sure there was the bad dance music and the flashing lights that made his head spin a little, but weren't there supposed to be like guys in cages dancing or something? He was pretty sure he'd seen that on TV. Not that it mattered, not like he was here for himself or anything. Just coming to spend some quality time with his good friend and teammate Danny.

Danny who he almost never spoke to.

Danny who didn't technically know he was here...

So he'd overheard Danny mention a teen night at the club to Jackson and decided to sneak over...just to see. Research purposes only.

Derek was bored. Deadly bored. He got there just after 7 to people watch, hunt for dinner and... nothing looked appetizing. At all. But he stated anyway, ordering a sipping whiskey and just enjoying the people.

But then... he saw something. Young... couldn't be older than 19 or 20... Probably younger than that even. The little one looked like a deer caught in the headlights and seemed to be alone. Perfect. Wide eyed, innocent, separate from the herd. Perfect for a little snack.

Derek sat there and watched him, waiting to slip in and sweep that little thing off his feet.

Stiles wasn't exactly known for his ability to focus, but in a place like this his eyes were everywhere. Moving to all the different people, guys, girls, girls he was pretty sure were guys. But every time looked back at him he would awkwardly look away and move on. He wandered up to the bar, nodding and grinning at the guy there. "Beer please," he asked proudly.

The guy looked him up and down, raising an eyebrow. "ID?"

"ID," he frantically felt around his body as if he could magically produce a driver's licence that didn't say 17. "ID....ID-cided I'm just gonna go with a Sprite thanks," he let out an awkward laugh at his bad put as the unamused man just slid him his drink. "Nothing? Ok then.." he trailed off, sipping from the straw.

Oh he was so young. And awkward. Look at that little thing try to order beer. So cute.

Derek had his in now.

So he got up and made his way across the room, ordering two beers at the bar, all the while staring at the little deer.

Stiles bobbed his head to the music, smiling at no one in particular as he looked around the club at people way prettier than him. People who would in no way talk to him and he sure as hell wasn't about to start talking to, so maybe coming here was kind of pointless.

He sighed heavily as he sat down at the bar, realizing how useless the night was until he saw this guy staring. Or...probably staring at some guy behind him. He shook his head, giving an awkward wave anyway just to make the guy stop.

Derek sipped at the one beer, watching the boy for a few more moments until he actually acknowledged him. Perfect. Derek waved back, making it known that yes, Derek was into him. He picked up both beers ad headed over to Stiles slowly.

That was enough to catch Stiles off guard. He looked around frantically, debating on whether or not he should just run and pretend like this hadn't happened. But it was too late, hot guy was closing in. "Umm...hi? Sorry, is this your stool or something?" he started to get to his feet.

"No, not at all. I uh... couldn't help but overhear your order so I took the liberty in getting you one," Derek said softly, holding out the beer for Stiles to take. "Just don't tell anybody."

[stylin_stiles]

"Wow, thanks," he gave the guy a crooked smirk as he grabbed the beer, tipping it back but paused before the liquid could reach his mouth. "You didn't...I mean mysterious guy gives you an open drink at a bar, I'm pretty sure I've seen a PSA about this."

"I promise I didn't put anything in it. I'm not that kind of guy," Derek said with a chuckle. "But I'll prove it if you need me to."

[stylin_stiles]

Stiles raised an eyebrow, he was pretty sure the guy was fine but his curiosity got the better of him. "Ok, prove it."

Derek reached slowly and took the drink back, and poured a little from Stiles'glass into his own, having taken a few pulls from his already. "There. Now if I roofied you, I've roofied myself."

"I mean...that doesn't really prove anything," he shook his head, taking his drink back. "Nice gesture and everything, but like I don't know the density of the stuff that could be in here, maybe it's all at the bottom. Or yeah if you poor some in your glass maybe then that's whatever it is diluted a bunch so less of an effect, that's also dismissing the idea that maybe you built up a tolerance and-" he stopped, realizing he was rambling. "You know what? I'm just gonna...uh.." he tipped the beer back, taking a swing and only wincing a little at the taste. "Thank you, I think is supposed to be the response. Thank you for the drink."

Derek's smile slowly grew as he watched Stiles ramble on. Oh this was highly amusing. Tonight was going to be memorable, at least that.

He noticed the wince though. "You don't like it. Would you like something different? Something that you're 100% sure isn't drugged," Derek asked with a smirk.

"What?" he laughed, "no! No, this is awesome..beer," he took a bigger swig this time, handling back his shiver. "I drink it all the time, just not usually this...umm...warm."

Derek couldn't help but chuckle a boy. "I can get you something a little fruitier if you'd like. Might be more your speed."

[stylin_stiles]

"Wow, wait fruitier? The hell are you implying?" he demanded, before looking around for a moment. "You mean because of the whole...gay bar thing. Look I'm just here to observe, no..uh...participating."

Derek smiled a little, listening to the boy ramble again. "That's not what I meant. I just meant something that's not beer.

"You're just here to observe? What are you watching for? Your friends?"

"Friends!" he pointed at the attractive older man...cause yeah he might have noticed he was attractive. "I do have some of those, in here somewhere. I just...never been here before, wanted to check it out. Kind of a sausage party," he joked, laughing nervously to make sure the guy knew he wasn't being serious.

Oh he was too cute. Derek leaned up against the bar, close to the teen, smiling a little. "Do you like that it's a bit of a sausage fest? Or is it too much for you?"

Stiles shrugged, ducking his head a little to hide his tiny smirk. "Yeah...I mean I don't mind it."

"Don't mine? Or enjoy," Derek asked, dropping his head so he could see that little smirk. Oh this one was too cute to just eat and leave.

[stylin_stiles]

"Don't mind, and mildly enjoy," he shrugged, cheeks turning slightly red. Because he continued to insist to himself that he was just having some curious thoughts about guys, that he was just questioning a little. Then again there was nothing to really question about the fluttering in his chest when the stranger smiled.

"Mildly enjoy. Alright. So I guess asking to sit with you wouldn't be too much to ask," Derek asked, keeping the small smile on his lips.

He blinked a few times in shock, "I..uh...yes? I mean no! No as in no that wouldn't be too much to ask, not no like..just sit down," he sighed, rubbing a hand over his face. Why couldn't he just shut up??

Derek couldn't help but chuckle this time before he took a pull from his glass. "I've got a table over there if you wanted to go sit down. We could talk. Unless your friends are nearby?"
